Theatrecraft - Key Stage 2
Session length : 2 hours
An introduction to drama techniques such as - Mask, Mime, Character-building and Improvisation through a traditional Japanese tale of dreams and nightmares which haunt a small fishing village.
Led by one of our experienced Workshop Facilitators, the group are introduced to drama-based exercises and activities as they enact the tale to allow them to understand that there are many different ways of telling a story on stage. The workshop concludes with an opportunity for participants to use what they have learned and to tell the final section of the story in a style of their choice.
Testimonials
Here are some comments received after the workshop...
"At last, challenging Drama work for Early Years and Key Stage 1! The children just loved every minute and were completely absorbed. We were able to carry a lot of the ideas into our writing too"
Key Stage 1 teacher, Hereford
"The workshops meant there was something for everyone, from nursery up to Year 6 and the work tied in brilliantly with our story week. We all had a wonderful time and learnt lots we can use in our own teaching. Thank you once again, Konflux, the visits were very cost effective too for smaller schools"
Head teacher, Kidderminster
