Konflux Theatre in Education is a York-based theatre company touring throughout the United Kingdom with workshop programmes and performances for young people.
Our programmes involve working interactively with groups in schools and all types of venues, incorporating drama as an integral part of personal and social development.
We believe in using drama and theatre as tools for creative learning. Our work inspires imaginations and engages young people's interest and involvement.
Our Play in a Day workshop is our most popular, which is booked not only for subject learning, but also for pastoral purposes such as increasing confidence, working on key skills such as speaking and listening, and encouraging the group to work together as a team.
About Us
Konflux Theatre in Education was founded in 1997 with the aim of producing high quality theatre for children and young people.
We are committed to providing schools with unique programmes that enrich and extend the National Curriculum, because we believe that young people learn best when they are learning creatively and having fun.
We work with more than a 1000 schools every year and pride ourselves on our close working relationships with teachers and other education professionals, making sure our programmes and their delivery are always tailored to the needs of the organisation. Konflux Theatre is an accredited Gifted & Talented provider and a national accredited learning destination for the Children's University.
All of our Actors and Workshop Leaders have a wealth of experience of work with young people, receive full training in our programmes and are required to have Enhanced Disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau. We also carry Public and Employer's Liability Insurance.
Konflux Theatre is a member of Artscape, the National Directory of Arts Education, the ITC (Independent Theatre Council) and the Association of Professional Theatre for Children and Young People.
Konflux Theatre Limited was formally constituted in 2003 and is a Company Limited by Guarantee (Registration No. 4853960).
