Play In A Day
Love Food Hate Waste Drama Workshop Konflux Theatre

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

Around a third of all the food we buy ends up being thrown away and most of this could have been eaten. It's not just peelings, cores and bones and it's not just an issue of good food going to waste or that this costs us as consumers a significant amount of money, but that there are serious environmental implications. 90% of us just don't realise how much good food we throw out. In the UK we throw away 6.7 million tonnes of food each year. That's 1 tonne for every 9 people!

This Play in a Day looks at the added implications of food waste and how we can address this major issue. Love Food Hate Waste also covers topics such as landfill and carbon footprints left due to food transportation.
