Stop, Look, Listen, Think!

Road Safety is a hugely important subject for us here at Konflux, as we work together with schools and Councils across the country to spread awareness and information about how to stay safe near the road.

We also advocate for sustainable travel, and with so many children, parents and guardians walking to school it is so important to stay safe.

There are an increasing amount of accidents by the road and we believe it is essential to provide children with the knowledge of safe, active travel options. The statistics for road related incidents including children near local schools are staggering and just some small simple rules can help keep you and everyone else safe.

  • Stop, Look, Listen, Think
  • Use the pavements and pedestrian crossings
  • Hold an adult's hand when near traffic
  • Always wear a helmet and protective clothing when cycling
  • Pay attention to traffic lights and signals
  • Wear high vis during darker months
  • Don’t use any devices (and/or other distractions) by the road
  • Don’t play games near the road

This Road Safety Week…

  • Brake is helping everyone understand what we mean when we talk about safe vehicles and why they are so vital in helping make our roads safer and preventing road death and injury.
  • We are helping children and young people learn about safe vehicles and calling on them to design the vehicles for the future. (https://www.brake.org.uk/road-safety-week)
