Konflux Theatre is a trusted Theatre in Education company, working successfully throughout the UK for 20 years. Our most popular project is Play in a Day® which was pioneered by Konflux Theatre.
The children learnt to use and apply new skills associated with drama and to work co-operatively with children they do not normally work with to produce an end product that they shared with their peers. We felt that it went a long way to raising the children's self-esteem and made them realise the importance of being an active listener. We were very impressed with the information that was supplied prior to our booking the work shop and how flexible the company was in meeting the needs of our school. Our instructor was able to identify the children who needed TLC and those who would be prepared to take on a more challenging role in the production as well as those who needed challenging to raise their self-esteem. She managed to engage with all the children and ensured all the children were active participants in the play.

Wow what a brilliant day my class had with Matt. He was fantastic and such a good teacher, keeping the class engaged all day. His manner and enthusiasm kept them on task which in turn, prevented any issues with behaviour.
Our topic at the moment is ancient Egypt, so this play really fitted in with what we are doing. I was especially impressed with the way he involved the quieter children in the play, they all had parts and words to say. The children left the day feeling that they had achieved something of value and in the process also had a lot of fun. The rest of the school were also impressed by the finished result.

“The day was really good, well organised and I loved how the whole school could get involved! You are on to a winner with this British Values workshop! It is very difficult to find something that takes it seriously. We have visitors from all different faiths and it was nice to show where British traditions come from. It got the students thinking about Britain and it celebrates diversity!”
"The children had a brilliant time and learnt a number of things from the experience including voice projection, presenting, team work and collaboration as well as some interesting facts about British values and the origins of some things we have always thought of as British. It was a great starting point for more in depth learning about being British."
