Now available as a Creative Learning Workshop for up to 120 pupils per day (each class taking part in a 1 hour session).
As a Play in a Day workshop, this is for up to 30 KS2 or KS3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.
Transition & Ambition!
Konflux Theatre's popular transition project ties in with SEAL as it covers 'managing change', 'working together' and 'going for goals'.The workshop focuses on raising each child's aspirations and ambition whilst introducing them to further and higher education, their new life in secondary school and then ultimately the world of work.
All Change seeks to excite children about what's to come in secondary school, and aims to plant a 'positive seed' about the futures of the children participating in the day (and also the children watching the final end of day performance).
With many scenes to choose from, your pupils will be able to pick the issues closest to their hearts to build a Play they can really take ownership of!
"As always, a great day. Our session leader was brilliant – positive, professional & enthusiastic. The workshop deals really well with the subject of transition to secondary school, allowing our Year 6s to think through some of the issues/ worries they might have in a very ‘safe’, fun way" (School in Bradford).
"September will mark six months since children have been in Education. This pandemic has disrupted their education, their routine and familiarity.
Transitioning from Primary school to High school is a huge change for the children and many are anxious. As the weeks went by, we decided that we would hold our Summer School programme. We adapted it to ensure we were following government guidelines and each child came in for a day and spent it with their peers and their form tutors.
I would highly recommend booking the Play In A Day Workshops especially because the children have been out of education for such a long time. They need to get back into a routine and re-acquaint themselves with their peers and their teachers." (Secondary School in Manchester).
